Sau khi tổ tông loài người ta nghe lời dụ dỗ của ma quỷ: “[Cứ ăn đi] chẳng chết chóc gì đâu! Thiên Chúa biết ngày nào ông bà ăn trái cây đó, mắt ông bà sẽ mở ra, và ông bà sẽ nên như những vị thần biết điều thiện điều ác” (St 3:4-5) thì từ lúc đó trở đi, con vi khuẩn độc hại có tên là GHEN TƯƠNG bắt đầu sinh sôi nảy nở trong cơ thể của tất cả loài người ta. Sức tàn phá và phạm vi hoạt động của con vi khuẩn GHEN TƯƠNG này độc hại và rộng lớn vô cùng cho nên từ người cân đai áo mão đến kẻ khố rách áo ôm, ai cũng đều giận dữ, ghen tương … rồi hận thù cãi cọ (Hc 40:4). Thật vậy!

“You certainly will not die! God knows well that when you eat of it [the fruit of the forbidden tree] your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, who know good and evil” (Gn 3:4-5). Adam, the first man, yielded to Satan’s temptation in the Garden of Eden, and from then on, the deadly virus called JEALOUSY was destined to proliferate in the minds and hearts of all human beings. The extent of this JEALOUS virus and its power to destroy is enormous and extremely dangerous, no matter who you are: “whether one wears a splendid crown or is clothed in the coarsest of garments, there is wrath and envy” (Sir 40:4). It is true, indeed!
