• Anh Bắc cầu xin với Chúa rất chân thành. Anh xin Chúa cho anh được trúng lô độc đắc Mega Ball. Có tiền rồi, anh sẽ về Việt Nam xây trường học, xây nhà thương, giúp cho các trẻ em nghèo, mồ côi và bất hạnh … Nhưng cầu hoài, cầu mãi, tốn bao nhiêu tiền mua vé số rồi, mà vẫn chưa trúng, dù chỉ là một giải nho nhỏ.
• Chị Trung đi cầu khấn ở khắp mọi nơi, chị lái xe qua Đền Thánh Giuse bên Canada, rồi bay qua Đền Đức Mẹ Fatima, tới Đức Mẹ Lộ Đức, về Thánh Địa Lavang, xuôi xuống Cà Mau kêu xin với Cha Trương Bửu Diệp … ngày nào chị cũng cầu nguyện, và đi đâu chị cũng chỉ xin Chúa có một điều, là cho con trai của chị đi tu làm linh mục. Vậy mà đã hơn mười năm nay, Chúa chẳng nhậm lời cầu xin của chị tí nào cả. Riết rồi chị đâm nản, bỏ cầu nguyện, bỏ không khấn xin nữa, bởi vì chị thấy con trai của chị nay thì cặp với cô này, mai lại bồ với cô khác …

• Mr. Bac sincerely prayed to God. He asked God to bless him with a Mega Ball winning number. His hope was that once he had the money, he would return to Vietnam to build a school and a hospital to assist the poor orphaned and vulnerable children with educational services and medical care. But, no matter how sincerely he prayed, or how much money he spent on lottery tickets, he wasn’t winning, not even a small win.
• Ms. Trung travels the world to pray. She drove to the National Shrine of St. Joseph in Canada. Next, she flew to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. Afterward, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in France, then to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lavang in Vietnam, and finally down to Ca Mau to implore through the intercession of Father Truong Buu Diep. She prays daily, and wherever she goes she only asks God for one thing, to grant that her son becomes a priest. It has been more than ten years, yet, God has not answered her prayers. As a result, she became discouraged, disheartened and she gave up on prayer. She stopped praying because she saw that her son was dating multiple women at different times.
